How automated scan to BIM works

Four steps, and you can follow every one of them.

The four steps

  1. A dense fragment of a laser-scan point cloud describing a wall and a floor meeting at a corner.

    01

    Point cloud

Your scan, up to 100 GB in a single file. One file produces one IFC model.

  2. The same corner with the points of each element tinted separately: wall, floor and opening.

    02

    Segmentation

Building elements are identified in the scan and separated from one another.

  3. A grid of plain grey building-element objects: slab, wall panel, door, window, beam and column.

    03

    Object match

Each element is matched to an object from the BIM element library.

  4. A wall panel being positioned against the point cloud of the same wall, with alignment guides.

    04

    Place and size

Objects are placed, oriented and sized against the scan geometry.

A clean, structured BIM model, delivered as IFC.

What comes back, and how we check it

The raw laser scan of a concrete hall, drawn as millions of separate measured points.
What you uploadMillions of measured points, dense in the foreground and thinning with distance.
A clean solid model of a concrete hall: columns, beams, floor slab and window openings.
What comes backClosed surfaces and classified elements, ready to open in Revit or Archicad.

What the platform does

  • Element identificationClassifies building elements in the scan.
  • BIM libraryProvides the object match.
  • Automatic placementOrients and sizes each object.
  • Structured outputDelivers a clean, editable IFC model.

Before you upload

For best results, optimise your point cloud first: remove unnecessary data and limit the surroundings. A tighter cloud is a faster, cleaner model.

The sequence after that is always the same: register, upload, see the floor area, the price and your model, then pay only if you want the file.

How to prepare your scan

Start with one building

Register, drop a scan, and look at what comes back. You see the model and the price before you decide.
