Product · click2SLIM

Open the point cloud you could never open.

Every click2BIM model can now come home with its point cloud, slimmed by click2SLIM — our proprietary, intelligent downsampling — into a LAZ file that opens on a standard office laptop. Your geometry stays. The dead weight goes.

A pale faceted concrete passage opening onto daylight and a flight of steps.

See what it keeps

Drag across the facade. On the left, every point the scanner recorded. On the right, what click2SLIM keeps: edges, corners and openings at full density, the flat surfaces in between thinned out.

The name says what it does

  • Scalable
  • LiDAR
  • Intelligence
  • Module

click2SLIM slims your point cloud down to what actually matters and keeps the geometry that makes the data valuable. Your storage bill, and your laptop, finally get to breathe.

What it does to your point cloud

  • Structure-aware, not random

click2SLIM doesn’t thin your cloud blindly. Our proprietary, intelligent downsampling recognises the edges, corners and surfaces that carry your geometry, keeps them, and thins the empty, repetitive areas in between.

  • Same model. Lighter file.

We tested it where it counts. In our validation, a slimmed cloud and its full-resolution original produce the same click2BIM model. Lighter to handle, identical to build from.

  • Built for the big scans

Send up to 100 GB. A 100 GB E57 becomes a LAZ of around 10 GB, and clouds over 5 GB are slimmed automatically. No pre-processing and no settings.

  • Proprietary, engineered in-house

click2SLIM runs on proprietary algorithms developed by our own engineers: intelligent downsampling designed for scan-to-BIM, not a generic setting borrowed from a general-purpose tool.

Who it is for

For architects

Open, section and measure the scan on the laptop you already own, and share it with consultants and clients who don’t have a workstation.

For GIS specialists

A LAZ file — an open, widely supported format — at a consistent 5 cm point spacing, ready for your existing workflows.

An 80 GB site scan that standard laptops couldn’t open opened for the first time after click2SLIM.

Formats and limits

  • InputE57, LAS or LAZ, up to 100 GB.
  • OutputLAZ, on its own or alongside your IFC model.
  • Under 5 GBConverted to LAZ, with no points removed.
  • Over 5 GBSlimmed automatically to a 5 cm point spacing.

Point clouds with a spacing coarser than 5 cm are rejected before processing, with a clear error message.
